Selangor FC managed to secure their spot in the quarterfinals of the TM Piala Malaysia 2021 after finishing second in group B with 12 points accumulated.

The Red Giants have confirmed their ticket to the quarterfinals after beating Kuching City FC 2-1 with Nik Sharif Haseefy's first goal in the dying minutes of the game in their fourth match of Malaysia Cup at the Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin on November 3.

Then, the group champion and runner-up position was determined in the fifth match of the group where Selangor FC lost to Terengganu 3-1 that confirmed the Red Giants as the runners-up in group B with a difference of six points.

As soon as the last match of the group stage, Selangor FC was confirmed to face Kuala Lumpur City FC, the champions of group A on November 14 as the host for the first match.
